Stock trade on Moscow Exchange hits record 257.3 bln rbl on Tue

MOSCOW, Mar 11 (PRIME) – The daily share trade on the Moscow Exchange hit a record of 257.3 billion rubles on Tuesday due to volatility, the bourse said in a statement late in the day.

“The amount of share trade reached a record of 257.3 billion rubles, trading in the currencies amounted to 1.8 trillion rubles, and trade in the derivatives stood at 928.3 billion rubles,” the statement read.

The exchange ensured fail-safe and secure operation of all infrastructure during the time of high volatility. Clearing platforms, risk management systems, and the bourse’s website operated as usual throughout the whole day, the bourse said.
